Q: How long do we have to be in Barbados before we can get mar­ried?
A: You must be in Barbados dur­ing a work week to obtain your mar­riage license. You may obtain a license and get mar­ried on the same day.

Q: What doc­u­ment­a­tion will we require to get mar­ried in Barbados?
A: To obtain a mar­riage license in Barbados the Bride and the Groom must each have a valid pass­port. If either mem­ber of the couple has been mar­ried pre­vi­ously, they must also bring their divorce doc­u­ment­a­tion.

Q: Will our mar­riage in Barbados be legal at home?
A: Yes, your mar­riage will be legal at home. You will be given a Certificate of Marriage that has the seal of the Barbados Registry and the sig­na­ture of the Registrar.

Q: Will we need wit­nesses?
A: Yes, two wit­nesses will be required for your wed­ding cere­mony. If you (bride and groom) are com­ing on your own, the hotel will provide wit­nesses for you.

Q: What is the best time of day to get mar­ried on the beach?
A: We sug­gest a late after­noon wed­ding around 3:00pm or 4:00pm. It is much cooler at that time and you will have the oppor­tun­ity to take nice sun­set pic­tures.

Q: What type of cake can we get for our recep­tion?
A: The wed­ding cake is a sponge cake. You have a vari­ety of fla­vours to choose from includ­ing vanilla, chocol­ate, orange or lemon, to name a few.

Q: What type of dec­or­a­tions does the hotel provide for the cere­mony?
A: Our beach wed­dings take place in front of a dec­or­ated wed­ding arch. The arch is dec­or­ated with palm fronds and beau­ti­ful trop­ical flowers that are found grow­ing right in the hotel’s gar­dens.
