WEATHER

When you’re blessed with year round sunshine and blue skies, every day is summer. Cool breezes, breathtaking sunsets and long, balmy, star-studded nights….Welcome to beautiful Barbados ~ Gem of the Caribbean.

Barbados is located very close to the equator. As a result, we do not get much variance in temperature. July, August, and September are traditionally our hotter months with a higher chance of rain. For the very best weather ~ hot sunny days with cool evenings then the traditional Winter months are recommended.

If there’s any season to watch out for, it’s hurricane season – which officially stretches from June 1st to November 30th; but, while nature will take its own course, the probability of a hurricane is quite low. In fact, Barbados has not been hit by one of these tempestuous storms since 1955.

When’s the best time to visit? That depends on what you’re after. But summer’s good for a great time and considerably cheaper prices; and, as it’s the off-season, summer in Barbados also means a quieter time – except perhaps for the few days of our Crop Over Festival, but that’s another story.

Don’t take our word on the weather, check out some good weather web sites and see for yourself why Barbados is considered the perfect year round destination.
