Updated Barbados Covid-19 Protocols

ALL GUESTS ARE REQUIRED BY BARBADOS LAW TO ADHERE TO THE HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

 

QUARANTINE: Effective, January 4th, 2021, the government of Barbados revised the protocols pertaining to quarantine guests. Effective immediately and until further notice, all quarantine visitors in Barbados shall remain in their hotel room until their 2nd test is complete and their results have been returned. For everyone’s safety and protection, we kindly ask that you do not attempt to leave your guest room at any time during quarantine.

 

ISLAND-WIDE CURFEW: The government of Barbados has imposed an island-wide curfew until 14th-January-2021 every night between the hours of 9pm and 5am. No persons are permitted to leave the hotel premises at any time during these hours.

 

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:  A physical distance of 2 meters should always be observed. All guests are required to wear face coverings in public areas where physical distance is not possible. Please wash and sanitize your hands regularly. Please check your temperature daily. Our staff will be sanitizing and cleaning all areas of the hotel throughout the day. Please refrain from convening in groups in public areas around the hotel.  

 

COVID-19 DISCLAIMER: The following indemnifying statement is part of all guests' reservation contract with Coconut Court Beach Hotel. I acknowledge that Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease and can result in serious illness, injury and death and I accept that there is an inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 anywhere people are, or have been present. I further agree that I will release, indemnify and hold harmless Coconut Court Beach Hotel, and it's respective parent corporations, affiliates, subsidiaries, insurers, representatives, against any claims and/or damages whatsoever, including legal fees relating to any infection, transmission, health condition influenced, impacted or complicated by Covid-19 disease.

 

OUR FLEXIBLE TRAVEL PROMISE: For all new bookings arriving between 15-December-2020 and 31-October-2021, the hotel will allow the option to rebook an alternative stay within 12 months of scheduled arrival date with the existing rate being honoured (subject to rate changes if you choose a different season, and hotel availability). This policy will apply in the event that:  1) Any member of the booked party presents psoitive Covid-19 test within 14 days of scheduled arrival. A copy of the positive test result will be required as proof. 2) Government imposed restricitions prevents guest from travelling. This includes the guests' government policies and Barbados government policies. 

 

WRIST BAND IDENTIFICATION: All arriving passengers at Grantley Adams International airport will receive a red wrist band. This red wrist band should not be tampered with or removed at any time. It will be removed by a member of the Front Desk team upon official receipt of a 2nd negative test result.

 

 

TESTING OPTIONS & RESULTS: All guests must undergo a second Covid-19 test after arriving in Barbados. The date of your second test must be five (5) days after your first test. Private testing results generally take a shorter time to be returned, but we cannot guarantee a 24-hour results for any tests. 

 

PRIVATE COVID-19 TEST:  Private testing takes place at the hotel every morning at 11am, the cost is US$200 per person and should be booked 24 hours in advance. Coconut Court Beach Hotel has an exclusive agreement with Urgent Care Mobile and other doctors and local service providers will not be permitted to administer tests to hotel guests on the hotel premises. 

 

GOVERNMENT COVID-19 TEST:  Alternatively, guests have the option to book a free Covid-19 test to be administered at a local government clinic and/or facility.  Transportation to/from the testing site can be booked at the Front Desk using our approved taxi service.

 

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: All quarantine guests will be accommodated in an Ocean View Room upon arrival. In accordance with Ministry of Health protocols, no housekeeping service will be provided to quarantine guest rooms. Should you require any ancillary services during this time, please contact the Front Desk (please dial 0). Upon receipt of negative test result, and if you are staying on with us, you will be relocated to another guest room in another area of the hotel.  

 

FREE MOVEMENT AFTER SECOND NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS: Official proof of your second negative test result is required by the Front Desk before you will be permitted to leave quarantine. Your wrist band will be removed. You will then be free to use all of the hotel amenities including the pool deck, the beach and/or leave the hotel premises at any time. 

 

APPROVED TAXI SERVICE: Coconut Court is working with a small number of reliable, and professional drivers that have completed the Barbados government Covid-19 health and safety training course. OUr drivers have worked iwth us for several years and they are fully approved, and certified to provide all of your transportation needs. 

 

AMENITIES AND SERVICES AROUND THE HOTEL: Please note that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been experiencing unprecedented challenges while we have been closed for the past five months.  As a result, while we remain committed to offering you the very best beach holiday in Barbados, we have had no choice but to scale back our services, amenities, and entertainment activities at this time.  We thank you for understanding our current situation.

 

COCONUT COURT BEACH HOTEL HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

We want you to know that, at Coconut Court Beach Hotel we take the health and safety of our guests and staff seriously so while you are away, we are working tirelessly to implement extensive new health and safety protocols to our operation. Some of our new protocols include: Temperature Checks: Required for all arriving guests. All staff will receive temperature and symptom checks before the start of each shift and periodically throughout the day. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All staff will wear cloth face masks and/or face shields and other PPE as required while on duty.  Cleaning & Sanitizing Protocols: Throughout the property, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing processes will be conducted with approved multi surface cleaners, disinfectants and equipment. Team members will be trained on the proper use of these chemicals and equipment to ensure effective cleaning. These protocols will include: Guest Rooms: The use of stringent cleaning protocols using hospital-grade disinfectants, and deep cleaning methods to clean rooms post departure, pre-arrival, and during stays, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Public Areas: Sanitizer stations will be strategically located throughout the hotel. There will be increased cleaning and sanitizing of high contact items within public areas, for example, credit card machines, lounge chairs and restaurant furnishings. Areas such as the public bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized on a scheduled basis throughout the day. Non-Guest Areas: Increased cleaning and sanitization of staff lunch rooms, staff bathrooms and administrative offices. etc.  Safety Signage: Signs will be prominently displayed throughout the property, to sensitize guests and team members on the health and safety best practices. COVID-19 Training: At Coconut Court Beach Hotel, we have long been aware of the importance of cleanliness and safety. All team members have received training on the new COVID-19 cleaning and safety protocols. This training will be ongoing.
