Updated Barbados Covid-19 Protocols

FROM MAY 8th, 2021 FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELLERS NO LONGER NEED TO QUARANTINE FOR 5 DAYS

 

BARBADOS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELLERS: Valid proof of vaccination (in English) in the form of a vaccine certificate is required. Persons who are fully vaccinated must travel with a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result,  taken 3 days prior to arrival. Fully vaccinated travellers will have a standard or rapid COVID-19 PCR test done on arrival at the Barbados airport (await results in airport lounge) or at the hotel. On receipt of a negative COVID-19 PCR test from their on-island PCR test, guests are free to enjoy the island. Guests are encourged to book a mimimum of 2 nights' accommodation to complete this process. 

 

BARBADOS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-VACCINATED TRAVELLERS: Persons must travel with a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result, taken 3 days prior to arrival. Guests will be required to complete 5 days of quarantine in their hotel room before taking a second on-island COVID-19 PCR test (onsite testing available ($) at the hotel or at a local government facility). Guests must remain in their hotel room until a second negative PCR test result has been received. Guests are encouraged to book a minimum of 7 nights' accommodation to complete this process. 

 

TRAVEL HISTORY: Vaccinated travellers coming from or transiting countries of special consderation (with high prevelence of COVID-19  Variants of Concern) in the past 21 days will be treated as unvaccinated travellers and will be required to observe the associated travel guidelines. All travellers are advised to consult the list of countries of special consideration on the Barabdos government website at www.barbadostravelprotocols.com which will be updated regularly. 

 

CHILDREN UNDER 18: Children under 18 years, travelling with fully vaccinated guardians will be allowed to adhere to the same guidelines as their fully vaccinated guardians.

 

FAMILIES/GROUPS COMPRISING OF VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED TRAVELLERS: If a fully vaccinated adult traveller is travelling with an unvaccinated adult traveller, 18 years and older, and they choose not to be separated, then the rules applied to the unvaccinated traveller, will also apply to the vaccinated traveller.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS AT COCONUT COURT BEACH HOTEL 

 

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS:  A physical distance of 2 meters should always be observed. All guests are required to wear face coverings in public areas where physical distance is not possible. Please wash and sanitize your hands regularly. Please check your temperature daily. Our staff will be sanitizing and cleaning all areas of the hotel throughout the day.  

 

WRIST BAND IDENTIFICATION: All arriving passengers at Grantley Adams International airport will receive a GPS embedded wrist band. This wrist band should not be tampered with or removed at any time. It will be removed by a member of the Front Desk team upon official receipt of a 2nd negative test result.

 

 

PRIVATE COVID-19 TEST:  Private testing takes place at the hotel and should be booked 24 hours in advance. Coconut Court Beach Hotel has an exclusive agreement with Urgent Care Mobile and other doctors and local service providers will not be permitted to administer tests to hotel guests on the hotel premises. 

 

GOVERNMENT COVID-19 TEST:  Alternatively, guests have the option to book a free Covid-19 test to be administered at a local government clinic and/or facility.  Transportation to/from the testing site can be booked at the Front Desk using our approved taxi service.

 

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: All quarantine guests will be accommodated in an Ocean View Room upon arrival. In accordance with Ministry of Health protocols, no housekeeping service will be provided to quarantine guest rooms. Should you require any ancillary services during this time, please contact the Front Desk (please dial 0). Upon receipt of negative test result, and if you are staying on with us, you will be relocated to another guest room in another area of the hotel.  

 

FREE MOVEMENT AFTER SECOND NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS: Official proof of your 2nd negative test result is required by the Front Desk before you will be permitted to leave quarantine. Your wrist band will be removed. You will then be free to use all of the hotel amenities including the pool deck, the beach and/or leave the hotel premises to enjoy our island at any time. 

 

AMENITIES AND SERVICES AROUND THE HOTEL: Please note that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we remain committed to offering you the very best beach holiday in Barbados. We have had no choice but to scale back our services, amenities, and entertainment activities at this time.  We thank you for understanding our current situation.

 

CLEANLINESS & SAFETY ~ SAFEGUARDING YOUR STAY

We want you to know that, at Coconut Court Beach Hotel we take the health and safety of our guests and staff seriously so while you are away, we have been working tirelessly to implement extensive new health and safety protocols to our operation. Some of our new protocols include: Temperature Checks: Required for all arriving guests. All staff will receive temperature and symptom checks before the start of each shift and periodically throughout the day. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All staff will wear cloth face masks and/or face shields and other PPE as required while on duty.  Cleaning & Sanitizing Protocols: Throughout the property, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing processes will be conducted with approved multi surface cleaners, disinfectants and equipment. Team members have been trained on the proper use of these chemicals and equipment to ensure effective cleaning. These protocols will include: Guest Rooms: The use of stringent cleaning protocols using hospital-grade disinfectants, and deep cleaning methods to clean rooms post departure, pre-arrival, and during stays, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Public Areas: Sanitizer stations will be strategically located throughout the hotel. There will be increased cleaning and sanitizing of high contact items within public areas, for example, credit card machines, lounge chairs and restaurant furnishings. Areas such as the public bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized on a scheduled basis throughout the day. Non-Guest Areas: Increased cleaning and sanitization of staff lunch rooms, staff bathrooms and administrative offices. etc.  Safety Signage: Signs will be prominently displayed throughout the property, to sensitize guests and team members on the health and safety best practices. COVID-19 Training: For over 45 years, Coconut Court Beach Hotel, has been practicing the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for both our guests and our employees. Everyday our guests can see our team hard at work around the hotel sweeping, cleaning and sanitizing. Additionally, our team members have received training on the new COVID-19 cleaning and safety protocols and standards. This training program will be ongoing as we work hard to ensure that our guests can relax, confidently knowing that we've got their safety and well-being at heart.
